We offer a wide range of services including creating bespoke and individual pieces of furniture for sale along with signed, limited edition Giclee prints of our artwork. Commissions are welcomed, both furniture and artwork.

We also love creating art. Initially being trained by her artist Grandpa, Emma McMullen returned to college recently to study art. Emma specialises mainly in cityscapes in oils but also works in watercolour, pastel, charcoal and lino print.
About Us
Emma McMullen
Emma McMullen was brought up in Strathaven in Lanarkshire and started painting at an early age under the tuition of her artist grandpa. Having always wanted to go to art school, Emma ended up taking a different route and studied an arts masters degree including geography and history of art at Glasgow University. In 2022, Emma returned to painting with private tuition, followed by a return to college part time to study art. Combining geography with art, Emma is drawn to depicting places that have meaning to her and others, with a focus on Glasgow and the West of Scotland. In particular, Emma focuses on capturing the play of light on her subject matter or the contrast of colour in everyday scenes. Emma's preferred medium is oils.
Atomic Designs was created by Emma in 2012 from a love of mid century furniture. The company has evolved over the years to now include fine art and accessories, with an emphasis on quality, using local/independent suppliers and saving countless pieces of furniture from landfill.
